Volunteers are an important part of the Blackpool Advocacy Service and are valued members of our team. Without volunteers, it would not be possible to provide our high quality responsive service to meet the needs of the local community.
It's a great way to gain new skills as well as develop existing ones, enhance your CV and improve your employment prospects whilst meeting new people and making new friends through helping the local community.

Time commitments vary dependant on which project you wish to give your time to, but if you have some spare time each week then why not use your knowledge, skills and experiences to make a positive difference to the lives of other people?
All our volunteers receive initial induction training and the continual support of our advocacy team throughout their time with us.

I would thoroughly recommend being a volunteer at Blackpool Advocacy. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive, straight away they make you feel part of the team. I have learnt new skills and enjoyed my time both in the office and socially.
Without having volunteered at Blackpool Advocacy I would not have successfully secured a new career in the social care sector. I am very grateful to have worked with such a great group of people.
